Policies and Guidelines
A few important things
People come first, it’s one of our core values. It’s less about the transaction than it is about the interaction. There are all types of businesses out there that just want your money and that’s not how we work. Yes, this is a business, our rates are our rates and the bills must be paid, but if that’s all we did it for, we’d close down tomorrow, it wouldn’t be worth it.
That being said, we also care about our space and we’d love for you to care about it just as much. My son is with me in the studio often, he will not only see his dad work and serve people, but he will also see how the people we serve treat the space we created. Below you will find a few policies and guidelines to consider when renting Studio 87.
Rental Hours
The space is available seven days a week, walkthroughs are by appointment only.
Rentals can be held between the hours of 9am - 9pm, subject to availability.
9pm reflects when all guests should have vacated the building, not the time an event should end.
Calm Events
If your event involves going crazy, uncontrolled alcohol serving, people who cannot follow our policies or guidelines, rowdy or lit-style events, or anything of the sort, please search for another event space.
Rental Policies
Latest Policy Updates
There will be absolutely no hanging, lounging, or congregating outside of the space; this needs to be communicated with your guests. If someone needs to go outside to smoke, take a call, or greet someone, it should be done quietly and not for an extended amount of time.
Upon vacating the space, the renter should review the parking lot to ensure their guests did not leave any trash behind. The entire lot is cleaned before every event and should remain that way.
No candles or open flames (cake candles are ok, sterno’s or methanol gel for warming food are ok)
No sitting or standing on the bar
No loitering outside
No noise, hanging out, music playing from cars, or trash in the parking lot
No ice sculptures
No glitter or foil (non-paper) confetti is allowed on site
No smoke bombs or powder cannons
No hookah or smoking of any kind
No heating appliances
No nails, screws, staples, or penetrating items on walls or floors.
No drugs
No strippers, stripper poles, or exotic dancers
No bounce houses
No tattooing or tattoo parties
No undesirables
No selling of liquor or alcohol without a licensed and insured bartender or mixologist
No events past midnight
No damages to the space
Must vacate premises at the rental end time
No bad energy
*Not following the policies listed above will cause you to forfeit your incidental fee.
We are flexible and may be able to work through some items but for the most part, the list above will be enforced while renting the space. Truly appreciate your understanding.
